(Note: You can of course go deeper into any of the above by reading the previous Development Update Articles on our blog.)

Wow!

The above isn’t even an extensive list of everything we’ve built for you in 1 year, and even so it adds up to more than one major feature every month!

With a bit of luck, we’ll be able to bring you at least a dozen MORE new features this second year as well!

Oh, and let’s not forget the HUGE updates package we just launched and are presenting today! This might be our biggest one to date!

New Features And Improvements

If you’ve seen our Development Updates before, you’ll notice we always spread them into New Features and Improved Features.

However, this entire past period since our last update, we’ve been almost completely focused on one single feature, that changes the entire landscape of doing business, at scale.

End-to-End Portfolio Administration

You might remember, in our last Development Update, we brought you Multi-Company Support, allowing you to have as many different companies and accounts on Alvanda as you wish, and easily switch between them with just one click!

Allowing both freelancers that work at multiple companies (with different email account) to see all of them in 1 dropdown AND people that own multiple businesses to see all of them under 1 single email account.

Since then, we’ve been hard at work, transforming Alvanda into the ultimate portfolio management solution ever created.

And here are some of the features we’ve launched for you:

Group Overview

Starting off with a principal overview of your entire portfolio, with just a few clicks, Alvanda can auto-generate an entire organizational chart of all of your assets.

Important note: ALL screenshots on this article are from demo accounts.

The main difference of this feature, as compared to other tools that might help you draw out your portfolio with pretty boxes and arrows, is that within Alvanda, the entire portfolio is both dynamic and interactable.

You do not need to draw it. It draws itself from the actual legal buildings between your various assets, AND you can literally click into any one of the companies, and see the specific details of that company, including its employees, its org chart, its strategic plans, and much, much more.

Also, in case you’re either a business magnate, or a consultant who works with many different groups, you can easily create and switch between those groups on this page.

And finally, Alvanda allows you to define the Divisions of your portfolio, and allocate your assets within those.

Group Administration

Moving on from the Portfolio Overview Page, you can get a deeper view of all Group-related details in the Group Administration Module.

This view allows you to both see and edit all aspects of the group. From the smallest detail of “Who’s the designated accountant for X company?” to the largest group-wide decisions, such as “Who has access to (or even control of) the entire portfolio?”.

Specific Company Overview

From within the Group Administration Module, you can go into any individual company and see or manage all the information pertaining to that specific company.

This includes legal details, such as the % Ownership of the Parent Company, key financial details such as the last tax filing date, and a complete list of all the members, employees, and contractors of the company.

Specific User Overview

From the Company Overview page, you can click into any specific person from any company, and manage them directly from here!

You’ll notice there’s a clear difference between Company-Specific roles and Group-Specific roles. This is intentional, because someone might be leader of 1 of the 11 companies in your portfolio (maybe even the CEO), but they might have zero access to or control of Group-Level information.

Also from this page, you can help reset a user’s password if they forgot it, send them an email, or completely revoke their access.

And the best and most valuable part of all, you can literally log in as the user, and see everything they see. Their tasks, their due dates, their past deliverables, everything.

Never has there been such an extensive level of transparency across all companies within a Group, available for everyone.

Important Note: If anyone is concerned about the user’s privacy, there is a very important difference between someone’s work and their personal life. Alvanda does not keep track of anything people say or do outside of their work. This feature allows Group Managers to look into the work that people are doing, which is, 100% the business of the company.

Group-Level Permissions Management

On that same topic, within Alvanda, Group Owners and Members with sufficient privileges can set permissions for the smallest administrative detail for every single individual role.

Similarly to transparency, there has never been this level of permissions management in the history of business operations.

And our dear friends, the above features are just a sample of what we have been working on these past few months…

Imagine.

Everyone now has access to enterprise-grade portfolio management solutions at a cost that is 100 TIMES LESS as compared to other similar solutions.

There are almost no software platforms out there that allow you to create and manage an entire portfolio of companies and assets from one single platform.

Until Alvanda.

As we stated at the end of last year, owners of multiple companies and assets will be able to oversee ALL of their operations, from a single screen.

Whether you’re:

  1. a serial entrepreneur that has a few small businesses, or
  2. a business consultant with multiple clients, or
  3. a huge enterprise with many thousands of employees, all in different divisions, and departments, and teams,

In ALL of the above cases, you will be able to both have complete transparency AND be able to manage or oversee everything, from one single place.

All org charts, all strategic plans (from the highest to the lowest level), all tasks, all comms, all docs–everything, in one place.

We have now taken a massive step forward within our industry. One of many more to come.

Development Roadmap

Now that we’ve invested so much into Group-level features, for this next sprint we will take a step back to:

  1. focus half of our energy towards continuously improving Group-level features, and
  2. the other half towards company-level features and operational improvements.

A few of which will be:

Choosing Onboarding Procedures PER Position

If you’ve ever hired people for the same roles, how many times have you thought “it would be so much easier if everything they need to do on day 1, week 1, etc. would just be automated?”

Well, that’s what we’re working on in this next sprint…

As soon as you bring a new person into your organization, they will immediately get a set of tasks to do, based on the specific role you hired them for.

ZERO additional management/HR time required.

Table View for Components of the Same Type

Now that people have started using Alvanda more and more, companies are starting to have lists of hundreds of deliverables from specific procedures.

As such, we’re creating a more condensed view of deliverables, which will make it easier for managers to see all previously delivered work, at a glance.

Calendar View For Tasks

Similarly to the above, now that people started using Alvanda more and more, the original simplified view of your tasks is starting to reach its limits.

The Overdue, Today, and Later view is perfect for when you’re just starting out, as it gives you a sense of simplicity and increases your productivity.

However, if you have dozens of tasks and need to prioritize, seeing exactly what date and time all your tasks are due, can be very beneficial. And that’s what we’re working towards.

Opportunity To Join

Looking at what we’ve recently achieved, and what we plan on building moving forward, we’d like to ask:

Do you know anyone who can help us build or promote Alvanda?

If you do, please send the link to this article their way, so they get a sense of what we do, and if they enjoy what they see, they can email our team at: support@alvanda.com

Thank you.

Final Thoughts

Today’s article is already 10-pages long, so we won’t take any more of your time here.

We’ll just leave you with the following message:

We believe the future belongs to those who are able to see and capitalize on potential.

The chair you sit on at your desk was once just an idea in someone’s mind. Someone saw a need, they saw potential, and they took action.

We invite you to do the same. Take action; today, tomorrow, and every day.
